CMP Files

Hello :)
I found this site via google looking for info on the .cmp file extension. I've been disassembling the data files for a PS2 game (.hack//QUARANTINE) and after extracting the data in their main Data.bin file I ended up with .cmp files. Google showed me that they were a 3D model format, and I was hoping somebody here could fill me in on a little detail as to the format, and how I can edit and view them.

Use milkshape3d. We have a cmp importer written by one of our oldtimers here which allows you to import these model files. Once you get it into milkshape and if you want to edit it in another program... milkshape has exporters which will allow you to export it into the file type you like such as OBJ

Ah, well, unfortunately I had no luck opening the file. Analysing it makes me pretty sure it is of the correct format though, strings in it contain things like:
MDL_(name) (I assume to be model)
ANM_(name) (animation?)
OBJ_(name) (object?)
MAT_(name) (material?)
TEX_(name) (texture?)
LGT_(name) (???)
CLT_(name) (???)
CMP_(name) (???)

These seem to be paths to something:
s\f\p1\max\sfp9bac5.max
s\f\p1\anm\sfp9bac5a.max

and then after, parts that seem to represent paths to textures:

It's not a Freelancer format. Try a search for "CCSF".
